ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES ON OFFER

Let’s have fun as a family, relaxing, quietly if we feel like it, that’s our idea of entertainment, but we don’t impose anything and you don’t impose your entertainment on others 😉✨ !

On what dates are there activities?

Our programme of activities starts gradually from the first week of July until the end of August. At the beginning and end of the season, our activities are lighter, as are our prices.

Please note that we organise a few activities during the Spring holidays and bank holidays, and some musical groups perform occasionally in June and September. Just ask!

What kind of events can I find?

We organise mainly daytime and early evening activities so that you can get together, have fun and relax as a family.

These activities are suggested, not imposed: each to his own rhythm.

We don’t want to be a camping club.

For children: We offer a Kids Club from 08/07 to 27/08 for children aged 6 to 12. Registration is required.

Activities such as pony rides, make-up workshops and circus days are also organised without registration.

For teenagers: not so early. Sports tournaments, football, basketball, table tennis, activities such as bubble football, climbing wall, human table football, windsurfing, etc.

And let’s not forget the teenagers’ night out with their friends….

They’ll always grumble a bit, but we’ll forgive them 😉 !

For everyone: we organise activities in the morning, including muscle toning, cardio and aqua aerobics.

In the evening, we organise quizzes, casino evenings, wooden games, Basque dance shows, Basque songs and musical evenings.

Finally, a more festive evening such as our foam party, dance party or concert.

On this occasion, the bar will stay open later, which is the most nocturnal evening until midnight. So enjoy, but don’t overindulge!

What sports facilities or play areas are there?
  • There’s a multi-sports pitch available, if possible only from 9am to 10pm. Remember to bring your champion ball.
  • There are also 2 table tennis tables next to the multi-sports pitch. Don’t forget your rackets.
  • There are 2 play areas for the little ones: one at the campsite square near the bar and another, the main one, at the back of the campsite next to toilet block C.
How does our aquatic area work?
  • Our aquatic area consists of a covered balneotherapy area and an outdoor area. The spa area is open from 13/04 to 27/09. The outdoor area opens in May and closes in mid-September. (Dates may vary depending on the weather)
  • It is open from 10am to 7pm in April, May, June and September and from 10am to 7.30pm / 8pm in July and August every day.
  • When the outdoor pool is open, children and teenagers do not have access to the indoor balneotherapy pool in order to preserve the tranquillity of a balneotherapy area.
  • When the weather is gloomy or rainy, the swimming instructors present in July and August will regulate access, or by the team outside July and August.
  • There are also outdoor balneotherapy workshops, a counter-current river, whirlpool baths, etc.

Pools of different depths for different ages, with a small slide for toddlers in the indoor and outdoor paddling pools.

And our beautiful water play area is open to young and old alike.

  • For safety reasons, our pools have a maximum water height of 1.30 m.
  • There are no large slides in our aquatic area, for the peace of mind and naps of our users.
  • All pools are heated:
  • Inside at 28°C
  • Outside at 25°C

Don’t forget the sea, 600 m away at 16 to 20°C!

  • For reasons of hygiene, we only accept swimming costumes: no shorts, no pants.
  • Babies must wear a special nappy.
  • In July and August and from time to time, our pools are supervised for your safety and peace of mind.
  • Our pool area is reserved for campsite users only: friends, visitors and family do not have access, even with a charge.

THE ENVIRONMENT

How far is the beach from the campsite?

The nearest beach is a maximum 15-minute walk (with children) from the campsite. Many other beaches are within walking distance, such as the Plage du Centre, although the road is a little more hilly.

A small, safe footpath takes you there or by bike. It’s flat…

In July and August, a shuttle bus can take you to the various beaches.

How far is the city centre on foot?

Bidart town centre is 600 m from the campsite, around 15 minutes on foot.

It’s a typical Basque town with small shops (bakery, tobacconist’s, souvenirs, etc.), a few restaurants (including 2 bar-restaurants) and the Tourist Office.

It’s uphill to get there, and downhill to get back to the campsite!

In July and August, a shuttle bus can take you to the village.

Where’s the nearest supermarket?

There are 2 supermarkets in Bidart: Intermarché and Lidl (Leclerc in Biarritz, Carrefour in Saint Jean de Luz).

Is it easy to get to nearby towns?

Yes, thanks to the buses next to the town centre or by car, you can reach neighbouring towns such as Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Biarritz, Bayonne, Anglet and Hendaye.

Where is the nearest ATM?

The nearest ATM is in the village square, next to the bakery.

Is there a doctor near the campsite?
  • There is a pharmacy, dentist, doctors and nurses in the village centre.
  • We’ll give you the numbers you need.
The weather, the terrain?
  • In the Basque Country, it rains from time to time, which is why it’s green and so beautiful. The 4 seasons in the same day. You can’t blame us! Trust us, it can rain very hard in the morning and we’re predicting a radiant afternoon. It’s good for us too…. that sun! Always bring a jumper, a mackintosh… If it’s very hot, a little breeze will cool you down in the evening and at night, temperatures drop. It rarely gets above 30°C, but it does happen….
  • The Basque country is full of hills and descents. Cycling enthusiasts are welcome to bring their own bikes. Electric bikes are allowed too! As for the others, it’s up to you.
What can I add?

Come and see us, you have so much to discover, so much to enjoy, so much to taste, so much to look at, so much to listen to,

…you’re sure to leave a bit to come back…tomorrow, one day, with just as much pleasure…

In Bidart you never go anywhere, you always come to someone…
